Polymers that form bridges in the gap of the sand mixture shaped by pressure via curing with the amine-based catalysts, become almost mechanically unbreakable polyurethane structures. The cores, obtained with this process, can store long-term with or without refractory coating.
A cores have a cross section of 4 cm² can easily lift a man.
Cold box resins are produced by the highest quality raw materials and high-tech automation systems. When cold box resin is cured with a small amount of amine gas they provide high gas permeability and high performance in a short time. Unlike traditional cold box resin systems; the new generation Çukurova Kimya cold box resins via low emission solvents and the desired wetting performance are minimized the environmental effects. Another advantage of the new generation cold box resins offer sufficient results in thin-walled parts even at low usage rates. The sand type has an effect on the casting result. So the selected sand should be moisture-free and have a suitable structure.
The wide range of application areas in the foundry, research projects are designed to reach the appropriate strength values and absolute satisfaction.
Product Advantages
- High strength and mass production
- Minimum waste caused by the core
- Minimum emission via new generation systems
- Variety of products suitable for all castings
- Compatible with water based refractory coating
- High gassing efficiency
- Smooth surface obtained by minimum labor
Ideal Usage Guide
45-50 AFS silica sand is mixed with 0.65 % FENOPUR Part 1 and 0.65 % IZOSIN Part 2 cold box resins by weight at 20 – 30 ºC, allowing to work for more than 2 hours with an average of 80 % relative humidity under atmospheric conditions. If the mixing environment has low humidity and closed to the atmosphere, the working time can be increased up to 6 hours. Immediately after cured with amine gases, bending strength reach to 300 N/cm². The cores can be stored for weeks.
